The ATA Carnet is an international customs document that has been the choice of U.S. exporters for temporary foreign importation for over 40 years. Also known as the "Merchandise Passport," this document offers the most in terms of flexibility, cost savings, and ease of use.

About your presenter:
Mavis Walpole began working for Roanoke Trade in 1990 in Baltimore where she successfully developed a Carnet program for the region and handled underwriting for Carnet bonds as well as support for claims management. Mavis has brought her extensive Carnet knowledge to the trade community for over 15 years and has developed educational workshops for U.S. Customs, transportation professionals, and exporters alike.
In 2003 she began her current role as Carnet Business Development Manager and focuses on providing customized educational support to exporters and organizations involved in world trade. Educated in the United Kingdom, she moved to Canada where she worked as an operations manager for 11 years. Following her move to the United States, she worked for the Royal Insurance Company prior to joining Roanoke Trade. Mavis is a licensed insurance agent/broker in the state of Maryland.
